Privacy Policy

Gramps Fishing Report is a service of Onyx Monarch LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the Gramps Fishing Report website and your angler dashboard, and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, and your name and profile photo if you sign in with Google.
- Your angler profile: the name you give us, your home zip code and state, the waters you fish, and the species you fish for.
- Lake requests: the name, state, nearest town and any note you send when you ask us to add a lake or river.
- Bait Shop sellers: if you list a business, we keep your listing (business name, town, description, links, the waters you serve and your products), your email, and your Bait Shop plan's status and Stripe customer ID.
- Subscription details: payments are handled by Stripe. We keep your subscription status, renewal and trial dates, and a Stripe customer ID. We never see or store your full card number.
We do not collect your precise location. Your profile only records the lakes and rivers you choose.
How we use it
- To run your account and show your daily fishing report on your dashboard.
- To build your report from the waters and species you pick, together with public weather, water and conditions data.
- To review and add lakes you request.
- To contact you about your account or important changes to the service.
We use AI services, such as Google Gemini, to help write reports. We send them the waters, species and conditions a report needs, never your name or email address.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Your profile is private. Other anglers can't see it.
Bait Shop partners
Your report may recommend a local fishing business that pays to be listed (marked "paid listing"). To show sellers how they're doing, we count how many reports they appeared in, for which waters and species, and how many times their button was clicked. Sellers only ever see totals. We never give them your name, email, zip code or anything else that identifies you. When you follow a seller's link, you leave our site, and that business's own privacy policy applies. You can turn Bait Shop partners off from your dashboard.
Affiliate links
Our Gear page links to products on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, Gramps earns from qualifying purchases. When you follow one of those links, Amazon may set its own cookies under Amazon's privacy policy.
Where your data is stored
The website, accounts and data are hosted on Google Firebase and Google Cloud in the United States. Access is restricted by security rules so that only you can read your profile and reports, and only our owners can manage the service.
Your choices
- You can change your waters and species at any time from your dashboard.
- You can turn Bait Shop partners off from your dashboard.
- You can delete your account from your dashboard. That removes your profile and lake requests.
- To access, correct or delete any information we hold about you, email info@onyxmonarch.com.
Children
Gramps Fishing Report is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll let you know on your dashboard or by email.
