Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Gramps Fishing Report website and angler dashboard, a service of Onyx Monarch LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

1. The service

Gramps Fishing Report provides fishing reports, conditions and related information for the waters and species you choose, shown on your angler dashboard. Reports are for information and entertainment.

2. Your account

  • You sign in with Google or an emailed sign-in link. Keep access to that email account secure.
  • Give accurate information about where you fish. Reports are built from what you tell us.
  • If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to use the service.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard.

3. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to access other people's accounts or data, interfere with the site, scrape it at scale, or submit false or abusive lake requests. We may suspend accounts that do.

4. Fishing success and safety (the "no fish" clause)

Reports are based on current conditions, historical patterns and third-party data. We do not guarantee that you will catch fish. Fishing depends on many things outside our control, including skill, equipment, sudden weather changes and fish behavior.

Always follow the fishing regulations of the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks and the Missouri Department of Conservation, carry the licenses you need, and put safety first on the water. Conditions can change faster than any report.

5. Subscriptions

Creating a profile is free. Daily reports require a subscription, which costs $3 per month (plus any applicable tax).

  • Free trial. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, once per account. You add a card when the trial starts. Unless you cancel before it ends, the subscription starts automatically and your card is charged $3.
  • Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews every month and is charged to your card until you cancel.
  • Cancelling. Cancel anytime from your dashboard ("Manage billing"). You keep your reports until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't give partial-month refunds unless the law requires it.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Price changes are emailed to you at least 30 days ahead and apply from your next billing period.

6. Affiliate links

As an Amazon Associate, Gramps earns from qualifying purchases. Products you buy through our links are sold by Amazon or its sellers, not by us.

7. Bait Shop partners (for anglers)

Your report may recommend a local fishing business that pays Onyx Monarch LLC to be listed. These recommendations are labeled "paid listing." Anything you buy or book is between you and that business: we don't sell their products or services, handle the payment, or guarantee them. You can turn Bait Shop partners off from your dashboard.

8. Gramps Bait Shop (for sellers)

These terms also apply if you list a business in the Gramps Bait Shop.

  • What you get. For $15 per month (plus any applicable tax), your approved listing may be recommended in the daily reports of anglers who fish the waters you serve, or anywhere if you ship anywhere in the US. Which reports you appear in depends on anglers' waters and species and on fair rotation with other sellers. We don't guarantee any number of reports, clicks or sales.
  • Approval. We review every listing and every change before it appears, and may decline any listing. You aren't charged until your listing is approved and you choose to go live.
  • Your listing. Your information must be accurate and about your own business. Links must go to your own website or pages. No prices, deals or promises of catches in descriptions, and nothing unlawful, misleading or offensive.
  • Your business is yours. You're responsible for your products, services, prices, shipping and refunds, and for any licenses and permits your business needs (for example guide permits and bait regulations). Onyx Monarch LLC isn't a party to anything you sell, and doesn't handle payments between you and anglers.
  • Billing. Your plan renews every month and is charged to your card until you cancel, which you can do anytime from your Bait Shop page. You stay listed until the end of the period you've paid for. If a payment fails, your listing is taken out of reports until it goes through. We don't give partial-month refunds unless the law requires it.
  • Pausing or removing. We may pause or remove a listing that breaks these terms or draws complaints.
  • Your stats. We show you totals only: report appearances, clicks, and which waters, species and products they came from. We never share anglers' identities or contact details.
  • Price changes are emailed to you at least 30 days ahead and apply from your next billing period.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, Onyx Monarch LLC and its owners are not liable for any lack of fishing success, equipment damage, personal injury or other loss resulting from your use of or reliance on the service. You use the information at your own risk.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll let you know on your dashboard or by email. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.
